038: Social Media

Welcome to this week’s episode of No Small Thing, this week its back to our typical groove as its just Scott and Macie sitting down being curious about a random topic….Social Media. Whether you love it or hate it, we are surrounded by it so of course we believe its no small thing and very worthing of a curious conversation.

We begin the night by discussing a BRIEF history of social media and talking a bit about what the heck even defines social media.

Social media are web-based communication tools that enable people to interact with each other by both sharing and consuming information.

We also share a bit about our own personal journey’s with social media. Macie admits to her somewhat superficial early days on social media which included some intense “Facebook stalking” while Scott wholesomely tells of first going on social media to connect with kids in his youth group. *Heaven points for Scott*

We continue with some FREE FORM THOUGHTS where Macie and Scott ping-pong back and forth different opinions and hot takes on the world of social media!

The conversation ends with a light-hearted, yet thought through discussion on each social media platform’s ennea-type! While we don’t claim this to be ‘proper use’ of the Enneagram we took the a task of typing very seriously! No spoilers, so before you listen maybe think through your own thoughts on each platform’s type! (we discussed Twitter, Vine, Pinterest, Tumblr, Myspace, Youtube, Instagram and Facebook)

That’s it for this episode, thank you so much for listening! We will catch y’all next week as we discuss DEFENSE MECHANISMS round 2!!!
