This week the No Small Team continues our series on the Enneagram by deep diving the Enneagram type 6! As major fans and deep divers of the Enneagram we invite you into this journey with us!
Scott and Macie start, as is tradition each Enneagram week, by checking in with one another on on where they are at with their Enneagram journey.
Scott begins by sharing how much he has loved reading Beatrice Chestnut’s book, The Complete Enneagram: 27 Paths to Greater Self-Knowledge which deep dives INSTINCTUAL VARIANTS. Its the next layer to understanding yourself and how your number operates!

Macie’s check in is more like an existential enneagram thought reflecting on the beauty of the enneagram symbol itself and its mysterious nature.
It’s then time to talk all about SIXES. Known as the loyalist, true believer, doubter, questioner, guardian, trouble shooter, and Scott’s favorite, the persecuted persecutor.
This type sits at the center of the Head Triad, motivated by fear they are driven by their need to be secure.
Sixes come to believe that they do not possess the internal resources to handle life’s challenges and vagaries alone and so increasingly rely on structures, allies, beliefs, and supports outside themselves for guidance.Wisdom of the Enneagram, Don Riso and Russ Hudson
Makalee, our guest six them joins us to tell us all about what being a six looks and feels like for her. She shares countless stories that remind us all that we see the world so differently. When you are thinking about where to live do you consider access to a free way ? Because this six does !!
We close the evening by reading some instagram comments by 6’s and hear a benediction from Makalee. We hope that you enjoyed this episode on the Enneagram type six, and to all the sixes out there we hope this episode was honoring, relatable, insightful, and helpful for you! We love you and are thankful for you, you help keep us all alive!
Thanks for listening y’all!
